Razorback Mountain

This was a surprisingly pleasant trip in the lower elevations, and beautiful at the higher elevations. There were only a few difficulties. A fifty-foot sections of steep, narrow ridge around 5,200 was a challenge. And driving back to the Cascade River Road was also difficult -- due to the locked gate!

It was over 5,000' of gain just to get to the sub-summit. Razorback would be a burly day trip in the winter, but I would be happy to go back in the spring!

  • This is NOT where we should have parked. We parked in the Cascade River Park community, and paid for it by getting locked in behind their gate. Instead we should have parked outside the gate here: http://tinyurl.com/9wao3tx
