Bare Mountain via trail 1037
Until the trail crossed Bear Creek the second time the trail
was mostly made up of rocks that made for bad footing, after the
crossing the trail was great. At 3,340 feet the trail forks, I headed
left up the switchbacks. After this point the trail mostly goes
through open territory with increasingly good views, Mount Rainier and
many of the Snoqualmie Pass peaks slowly started emerging from behind
the nearby ridges. The top of Bare mountain bears some resemblance to
a small gravel parking lot, it must have been leveled off for the
lookout (very little remains of the lookout). Among others the view
from the top includes Baker, Glacier, Rainier, and the Paradise Lakes.
