Name Origin
"Snowgrass Mountain was named within 1908-1912, by early sheepherders, probably because the peak is almost entirely covered with grass, to nearly the very summit. In early summer, the juxtaposition of snowbanks and grass slopes, side-by-side, would have suggested the name Snowgrass." (Albert Sylvester, Northwest Discovery, V2 #8)
